Since its foundation in1853 the company has supplied over ten thousand turbines across the world. Gilkes built their first water turbine in 1856 and have been improving and refining designs to match customer requirements ever since. We have experience of working in over 80 countries and recognise the differences in requirements or each region. Our water turbine designs are continually improved by incorporating both field experience and advances in design. This enables us to produce equipment that is highly efficient and reliable. Our current Hydropower range covers power outputs from under 100kW up to 20MW.
