Established more than 20 years ago in Lerwick, tug boat charter company, Delta Marine Ltd. can credit adaptability and responsiveness to changing markets as key to its success.

Founded in chartering vessels to the dredging and marine civil engineering industries, Delta Marine has been able to grow an impressive customer base. Their main areas of operation from their Shetland base are the UK coast, Scandinavia, the Baltic States, the Caspian Sea and the Mediterranean.

All their vessels are specially designed for coastal construction, anchor handling and towing contracts. Being powerful tugs their shallow draughts make possible a wide range of inshore operations.

Delta’s primary vessels are the Voe Service, Voe Venture, Voe Trader and Voe Viking. The latter vessel is a more recent addition to their fleet with specialised equipment and special design features to support the maintenance of offshore wind turbines such as the Blyth wind energy development in the North Sea and for contract work on the Pelamis wave energy project.
